The benefits of Radio Frequency Needling compared to traditional Micro Needling

Microneedling V’s RF needling

As a facialist who prefers to take an holistic approach to age management what I appreciate most about the Divine Pro is it is a multi-functional modality with optimisation for individual targeting. The Divine pro combines two technologies which I use regularly for age management concerns - micro needling and radio frequency RF.  Micro needling is a very popular procedure which effectively and safely addresses a mirage of skin concerns. Radio Frequency is a safe and effective method of tissue tightening to correct excessive sagging from ageing.

Skin deep always endeavours to provide clients with non-surgical options to prevent the need for injectables or surgery this combined RF and micro-needling has been introduced to amplify clients results the Pyramid Facelift has been receiving rave reviews from clients since its introduction to clinic.

Micro needling is not a new technology and continually progresses as a treatment for many skin concerns in 1995 Orentriech and Orentreich described micro needling subcision using hypodermic needles for atrophic scarring and wrinkles. In 2006 Dr. Fernandes known as the godfather of micro needling developed the first micro needling device the modern day Dermaroller. Dermapen ™released the first automated device in 2010 followed by a succession of other automated devices such as Raffine pen and Skin Pen. The development of micro-needling procedure has led to the introduction of combined RF with micro needling which takes all microneedling procedures to the next level.

There are a number of reasons why RF needling should be your go to option for maximum skin rejuvenation. Boosting collagen is number one it is imperative for reducing wrinkle depth, traditional needling provides a collagen boost whilst the radio frequency needling amplifies this process as it constricts the underlying skin layers to further smooth out those deeper lines and wrinkles. The RF needling combined allows those deeper layers of the dermis to be targeted without the damage to the top layer of the epidermis or penetrating too deeply where no collagen is present. The amalgamation of insulated needles with RF penetrate the skin releasing radio frequency current from the needle tip producing what is known as a thermal zone within the deeper layer of the skin (dermis) without damaging the upper layers (epidermis) . This triggers dermal remodelling, neocollagenesis ( new collagen ) and neoelastogenesis (new elastin) .The RF combined needling treatment will target all scar types these areas of toughened and thickened tissue will be broken down more easily  with the heat from the RF than traditional needling alone.

Microneedling and RF combined maximises the benefit of needling without trauma,  achieves maximum collagen and elastin production with less treatments required.
